Old Jug Ears' pay rise

Right up front, I admit that if I had to make a list of the peole on this earth that I absolutely dispise then that adulterous old bastard HRH Charles Prince of Wales and his disgusting tart Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall would be right up there in my top ten...

I'll also point out that I couldn't stand Diana. Never liked her. But that doesn't excuse the disgraceful way this git used her for breeding stock and which still shagging his present wife. Not the way you would expect the future King - God help us - and head of the Church to behave. I sincerely wish his mother a long and healthy life - at least so that she lives long enough to spare us Queen Camilla!

Anyway, that aside, what has really got up my nose this week is that this totally egocentric old looney has landed himself a socking great payrise at the expense of the taxpayer.

Old Jug Ears' expenses allowance has recieved a whacking great 11.8% boost last year rising to £2,194,000 - largely we are told due to official overseas tours.

The government was keen to point out that the overseas visits by the royals were "of real value to the country". Simon Fraser, the head of the Diplomatic Service, said: "The visits of the Prince of Wales have supported British business, investment and development goals and promoted our values around the world." Well, that's all very well Simon, but it's my money you're spending not your own!

And while we're at it, let's remember that poor old public out there who would give their right arms for any pay rise at the moment. At these difficult economic times, perhaps they'd like a 12% pay rise as well. They certainly need it more than this guy!

I'm no republican, but Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, put it nicely : "Year on year, Charles continues to spend more public money on travel, much of which is for personal trips. When the country is facing sweeping cuts to public spending, Charles Windsor wilfully helps himself to whatever travel funds he wants or feel he needs."

Role on King William and let's hope that if this bloke ever comes to the throne then he goes the same way as the first King Charles...
