A song for Haddock

I know I posted this particular piece some time ago, but I was trying to think of a way to raise the spirits after hearing of the sad death of a much respected fellow blogger and - given his wicked sense of humour - I thought I'd run it again as a tribute to him...

...and then follow it with a little poem by "Private Eye's" E.J.Thribb (aged 9¾) :

So
Farewell then
Captain Haddock.

A salty dog
With a tale to wag
And a witty bark.

You will be missed.
Not by the establishment
Who never
Understood you.
But by the rest of us.

RIP
Old friend.

We will miss you.
