I shall pray for you.

Dear Diocles

I've prayed every day and twice on Sunday to win the lottery but nothings happened yet.

What do you think I'm doing wrong?

ps. Do you think it might help God if I bought a ticket?

Suzie loves #Jesus and #God and believes that #religion saves the world! How about you?

Do you really think that the "believers" see GOD as some sort of all seeing CCTV in the sky. Every time they pick their nose or scratch their arse he sees. Not to mention other things they may get up to.
The spiritualist are even in a worse position. They've got their dead parents following them around every second of the day and watching all those nasty little habits that are supposed to be secret.

The arrogance of the thinkingatheist is quite amazing. So, he knows all that there is to know about everything (which was the argument that Carl Sagan, a committed agnostic, used for not being totally atheistic - okay, perhaps a get-out clause, but it is a valid point).

One of the problems with humans is that we can only perceive things from our own point of view - we have difficulty understanding the rationale behind what other humans think, or of understanding how a DOG perceives things, let alone God. Human logic remains that - human logic - and is as prone to human failings as all else that we do.

It is odd that, as we find out that the universe is even more bizarre and more mysterious than we could ever have imagined, we use this new-found knowledge as "proof" that there is no God.

"God made man in his own image" - Absolute bollocks!

My problem is that I cannot believe we just cease to exist when we are dead, but I don't believe in God as the religions percieve him.

If the Earth exploded tomorrow then in the cosmic scheme of things, it would be irrelevant. To believe that humans can have a direct line to creator of all things is, in my view, supremely arrogant.

On day a spaceship will land - in Washington, of course! - and what gets out will make us look like ignorant savages. Most likely the first thing we will do is shoot at it...

Our egos will not be able to take the shock!
