The spirit of Scargill lives on...
Take a good long hard look at the picture above if you are on strike today!
Do you remember the miners' strike? Why am I reminding you of it now?
It's because this was the last time that a load of left-wing socialist Marxist scum manipulated the ordinary workers of this country in an attempted coup d'etat to bring down the democratically elected government.
And if you are on strike today, then you are falling for the claptrap that is being fed you by these people. You are being used.
This strike is nothing to do with public service pensions. Every person in this country is being squeezed because of the reckless and irresponsible spending by the Labour party - that's the same Labour party that is now owned lock, stock and barrel by the Trades Unions. The same Labour party you are being conned into trying to return to power by the use of politicaly motivated industrial action.
Everybody has suffered in this financial crisis. Everybody that has a pension fund has suffered losses. Why should you be different?
You still earn on average more than your equivalent in the private sector. You are being asked to contribute more to your pension, just like everyone else, but unlike everyone else you still end up with a better pension. You still pay proportionately less for it. You still have better wages.
There is, however, one more difference between me and you. I am contributing to your pension, but you are detracting from mine. My taxes go into your pot, which means the government has less left for my state pension.
So if you want to be on strike today - and the union ballots suggest that the vast majority of you don't want to be - then you are a greedy, parasitic cancer on the nation. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Do you really want people like Scargill running the country, because if you then you really are just plain stupid...

The difference is that the public hafd a great deal of sympathy with the striking miners and still do as evidenced by the genteel nature of the audeince at Billy Elliot The Musical.
No-one gives a toss about cosseted public sector employees who try to present their case a somehow noble by calling it "industrial action".
"Every person in this country is being squeezed because of the reckless and irresponsible spending by the Labour party" ..
This includes those already drawing a pension, on which they pay Income Tax .. and who have also suffered a reduction in this years Winter Heating Allowance ..
Thanks for fuck-all Brown & Co .. I hope you all get Genital Cancer ..
Spare a thought for us who don't have occupational pensions and are living on the interest from our investment whihc has halved in recent year because of the cuts in interest rates!
Nice piece D. Sums it up nicely.
You may have noticed that my fellow M.P.s and i , along with our friends in the media, have been trying to point out to you little people how our country is being held to ransom by these awful oiks in the Public Sector.
These revolting lazy bastards seem to think they are entitled to a life of luxury at the taxpayers' expense.Fuck them, that's my job.Who the fuck do they think they are?
They are all bastards who don't know who their fathers are.I was saying this to my team of Ukrainian gardeners only the other day, and my Polish chauffeur, who agreed with me entirely.
I would like to put all this pensions nonsense behind us and concentrate on the real business of government. Which is--stealing as much of your money as possible ; importing cheap labour so my rich friends can get even richer ; invading other countries so my rich friends in the oil industry can get mega-rich ; poncing around at dinner parties with my rich influential friends who made bundles from the the Olympic contracts i bunged them.
The list is endless. If these Public Sector chaps want a decent pension they should work jolly hard like me.Damn cunts.
As far I'm concerned the whole "effing" public sector can go on strike permanently.
People in the "public" sector don't create any wealth they just "over-charge" everyone in the private sector for services that could be done more efficiently in the private sector. Anyway, most of the public sector jobs are non-jobs.
Fuck-em!
Just decided to look-up Scargill and see when he died.
Bugger-me the cunt's still alive!
I thought being a miner he would have died of Pneumoconiosis but then I realised he's spent his life breathing shit out rather than breathing it in.
It is a constant irritation to me that I am still keeping the oven warm for the cunt!

If you had given me a clearer mandate, then I would be more able to deal with these people! FU is not for turning! http://f-urquhart.blogspot.com/2011/11/public-sector-strikes.html
Only the good die young, George
I hate them. I'm really sick to death of them.
On a lighter note, by the end of the day you should be on 200k page views.
Scargill is very much alive, and I believe living in luxury (don't all union leaders, with their six figure salaries and large protected pension pots)somewhere round the Barbican,-not sure if he still has the large jag. Bob Crow may live in a "council house,"but lives the life of Reilly. If he, "Red Robbo" and the rest of those industrial wreckers from the seventies had not destroyed much of our manufacturing industry, we might be able make something worthwhile like jeans and trainers, rather than fridge magnets.
Ha ha,
Its worth going on strike just to read all you right wing bawbags getting so hot under the collar!! :-)
RedNimrod
I'm not at all 'hot under the collar' as you put it - I'm just overwhelmed with a sense of despair at how stupid the people of this country have become. I pity you.
At least I didn't waste a days wages just because someone told me to. And have you seen the pension pots that your union subs are paying into for your lords and masters?
One supposes RedNimrod has not noticed how well his union masters live, although I am prepared to believe that he thinks if he keeps his Marxist nose clean he too can be rewarded with pots of other people's money.
After all, running a union sure beats working, right?
But one final thought RedNimrod: please go on strike more often. The truth, dear child, is that your employers (and the government) saved money and society finds it can even more get along quite well without you.
Your silly little strike achieved exactly nothing, save you lost a day's wage (but then you probably have never done a day's work in your life so no loss there then, hey?)
